Is this right for you?

Horse Racing is not just about gambling but by its very nature it is a very big part of what makes up the sport. Betting on horses has to be considered a risky business, whether it be laying (betting on a horse not to win) or backing (betting on a horse to win or get placed). Add to this the fact that it would be a pretty tall order if you asked the average person to read a racing page in a newspaper and for them to be able to correctly tell you what it meant. We don't blame people for feeling that Racing in general or gambling on it is simply a no go area. We are not here to argue that fortunes can be made or that betting is any less risky than it has always been, because it isn't.

What we would like to suggest is that the barriers that exist between the newcomer and being able to get more from Racing are not so high, that with a little help, they can be overcome.
The problem is that Racing and the betting business that supports it, was in the past not overly helpful in making itself something that we all can enjoy. Things are changing and the last decade has seen a lot of effort to open the sport and betting industry. The recent developments that come under the umbrella of “Racing for change” are designed to help newcomers to get past some of the barriers and be able to experience what the sport has to offer over and above just the betting aspect.
The jargon that surrounds it and the prospect of losing money if you get things wrong, makes it an area that most avoid unless it’s the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Grand National or Derby.

There is now a great variety of ways to help you get more out of Racing, rather than just the straightforward occasional flutter or office sweepstake. The racecourses are far more accessible and open to those who want to experience at first hand the excitement of a day at the races. The make up of the race going public has changed dramatically over the years and the industry is adapting itself to ensure that those new to the sport can get more from it.
Layback4fun is here to help you get past some of the obvious obstacles to getting the most out of racing and something that could even pay for itself or even turn a profit. It must be stressed that THIS IS NO GET RICH QUICK SCHEME or some magic system to find successful selections.
The most realistic expectations should be manageable losses when they occur, make a reasonable return over a period of time, have the occasional good run but most of all to find the experience an enjoyable one.

This still doesn’t mean that it is right for you and we are talking about gambling after all so a healthy measure of caution never did anyone any harm.
If by the end of looking at the different sections of the site you still feel that it is not what you want to get involved in then we can only thank you for taking the time.
On the other hand if you want to explore what racing can offer in terms of a great pastime, somewhere to take the family or even make a bob or two, we are here to help.
