Q. Are the running totals based on what selections are posted or do you only include those you have bet on?

A. We only include results that have been bet on, but in the cases of both the win & place as well as the lay picks we follow them all. We apply the rules that are stated in each section which govern if a bet is placed, or not, due to price and if any adjustments are made during updates. The figures are net i.e. what we get after deductions for commission by Exchanges, if that is where we placed the bet.

Q. It says LB4F is based in Cheltenham and has members in both the UK and Ireland, how do I join?

A. Until the site began LB4F could best be described as an online club and we described ourselves as members. When the site began we formed a limited company but kept up the habit of calling ourselves members. LB4F is not a club taking on members.

Q. Do the 2 columns on the win & place selections page mean that the selection (1) is to be preferred to the selection (2)?
A. No. The selections are made using 2 completely different profiling methods. There is no preference between them.

Q. The same selection sometimes appears in the lay picks as we as the win & place. Does this mean it is considered to be a placed position bet only?
A. No. The selection method for the lay picks uses yet another profiling method but will sometimes select the same runner because it is looking for good horses that may have hit a level that they can’t improve on or there is another runner that poses a major threat.

Q. Do the lay picks have a bottom limit that would stop you taking on the most short priced of favourites?
A. No. There is only a limit placed on the maximum we are prepared to lay at. We would have to have a pretty good reason for taking on really low priced favourites as a lay pick.
