It's hard keeping up with events at this end; kids parties, builders coming and going combined with more than a few heated debates on what shape the site is going to take.
Fortunately the kids party season has drawn to a close, for a few months anyway, the builders can't be too far off finishing and there are bound to be a few broken eggs as the omlette gets cooked.
Today was a nice easy run through on the laying front with an early exit making up for yesterday's drawn out affair.
The opening race at Uttoxeter had Tony McCoy riding CHESAPEAKE after doing pretty well at Worcester last time out. Although he won then, it wasn't without making a bit of a hash of a couple of hurdles. Today the weight was up and he was up against a couple of decent challengers, E MAJOR and HADRON COLLIDER.
I paid 2.24 but could have got lower. He ran well but was trounced by the end.
